Summer
When the temperature rises, Andorra comes to life outdoors. The valleys dress in green, the mountains beckon to move, and every corner of the country becomes an excuse to go out and enjoy. A season designed for those who seek nature, adventure and pure outdoor moments.
Winter
When the snow arrives, Andorra completely transforms. The mountains dress in white, the cold invites you to move in a different way, and each day becomes a new way to experience the season. A winter designed for those who seek snow, adventure, and unforgettable moments among slopes and valleys.
All year
Beyond the seasons, Andorra has its own identity that is lived twelve months of the year. Wellness, gastronomy, heritage, and traditions are part of the country’s daily life and are always available, regardless of when you travel. A different way to discover Andorra, beyond the snow or the summer.
Hiking and nature: Incles and Ransol
A single destiny and many ways to walk it.
Andorra has routes for all levels, from simple walks to enjoy with the family to high mountain itineraries with slopes and greater difficulty.
Two of the most interesting environments to discover on foot are in our surroundings: the Incles Valley and the Ransol Valley.
Incles Valley
Located between El Tarter and Soldeu, the Incles Valley is one of the most well-known natural spaces in Andorra. Its glacial landscape combines meadows, forests, rivers, and traditional huts.
In summer, vehicle access is regulated and the valley can be explored on foot or by tourist transport. The Obac d’Incles trail offers an easy walk along the river, while at the end of the valley, harder routes begin to places like the Cabana Sorda, Juclà and Siscaró lakes.
Ransol Valley
The Coma de Ransol provides access to a high mountain environment with meadows, forests, and lakes. From here, itineraries start to places like Querol and Salamandras lakes, as well as more demanding routes to peaks like the Pic de la Serrera.
The difference between both valleys allows you to choose between a simple excursion, a route of several hours, or a high mountain tour.
Pont Tibetà de Canillo & Mirador del Roc del Quer
Enjoy unforgettable views
Two of the most well-known experiences in Canillo allow you to contemplate the landscape from an unusual perspective.
Pont Tibetà de Canillo
The Tibetan Bridge crosses the Vall del Riu at an altitude of 1,875 meters. It is 603 meters long and reaches a maximum height of 158 meters above the valley. The route is designed to be traveled back and forth on the same path.
Mirador del Roc del Quer
A few kilometers away is another must-see in Canillo. The lookout is a 20-meter walkway, of which 12 are suspended over the landscape. Part of the floor is transparent and from there you can see the valleys of Montaup and Valira d’Orient and the mountains of Grandvalira.
These are two different experiences and easy to combine in the same day: one more active and marked by height, the other focused on views and the landscape.
Mon(t) Magic Canillo
Adrenaline for everyone
Mon(t) Magic Family Park, within Grandvalira, gathers proposals to enjoy the high mountain environment in a different way.
Among its activities are Màgic Gliss, zip line, Big AirBag and other adventure and family leisure experiences. The specific offer may vary according to the season.
It is a particularly interesting option to organize a day of family activities, combining the cable car access, the different proposals of the park, and the environment of Canillo.
Grandvalira in summer
Pure nature
The Funicamp allows access from Encamp to high mountain areas and from there start different routes and activities.
In Soldeu, the Golf Soldeu offers a 9-hole course at 2,250 meters altitude, accessible by the gondola. It is the highest golf course in Europe.
The summer offer is completed with new family experiences and mountain activities that Grandvalira incorporates each season.
BTT & E-Bike in Andorra
A bicycle, a route, and a whole country to discover
Grandvalira: skiing and snowboarding
Ski, learn, improve or discover Grandvalira at your own pace
Grandvalira is the large snow domain of Andorra and one of the main skiing destinations in the Pyrenees.
It has over 200 kilometers of slopes distributed among different interconnected sectors, with proposals for all levels: beginners areas, blue and red slopes for progress, demanding circuits, snowparks and spaces especially designed for families.
El Tarter
One of the most known sectors of Grandvalira, with slopes like Àliga, scenes of international competition and the Snowpark El Tarter, one of the references of freestyle in Andorra.
Soldeu
Slopes among forests, routes for different levels and access to ski schools. Here also is the mythical Avet slope, scene of the Alpine Ski World Cup tests.
Canillo
A particularly interesting sector for families and skiers looking for a quieter environment, with beginners areas and connection with the family proposals of Grandvalira.
And for those who want to explore the entire domain, the connected sectors allow to tour Grandvalira in a single day without needing to use the car.
Mountain rackets and skiing
Snow can also be discovered far from the slopes
Snowshoes allow you to walk through forests, trails, and snowy valleys and enjoy the mountain at a different pace. They are a particularly interesting option for those who want to engage in physical activity, enjoy the landscape or simply try a different snow experience.
Mountain skiing offers another way to explore the territory: ascending with seal skins and descending on natural routes. It is an activity that requires experience, suitable equipment, and knowledge of mountain conditions.
The valleys of Incles and Ransol offer a high mountain environment that is very different from the landscape of the slopes, with routes that can vary considerably depending on the snow conditions and the time of the season.
For those unfamiliar with the terrain or wanting to undertake more demanding routes, there are also guides and specialized companies that organize snowshoe and mountain ski outings.
Two ways to discover the snow-covered mountain without following the layout of a track.
Adventure in the snow
Because snow can also be enjoyed in many other ways
If you’re looking for something different from skiing, Andorra offers many ways to experience the snow.
Mushing allows you to traverse snowy landscapes on a sled pulled by Nordic dogs, while snowmobiles offer a more dynamic experience through circuits and guided tours.
There are also activities like sledding and tubing, especially interesting for families or for those who want to enjoy the snow without the need to ski.
Grandvalira brings together different proposals in sectors such as El Tarter, Canillo and Grau Roig, although specific offers may vary depending on the season.
These activities allow for organizing a different kind of day or to supplement a day of skiing with a few hours of adventure.
After-ski & gastronomy
Skis out. The day continues.
When the slopes close, another part of winter begins.
Après-ski has become an important part of the Grandvalira experience, especially in the El Tarter sector.
L’Abarset is one of the references of the station’s après-ski, with music, atmosphere and a gastronomic proposal that allows extending the day after skiing.
The Boss, in El Tarter, also combines gastronomy, music and atmosphere in a more informal format.
But winter in Andorra can also end in a very different way: sitting around a table in a traditional cabin and discovering mountain cuisine dishes like escudella, trinxat, grilled meats, sausages or fondues.
Two very different ways to experience the end of the day: the après-ski atmosphere or the traditional mountain cuisine.
Nighttime experiences
When the sun sets, the mountain completely changes.
Andorra offers different experiences to discover winter after the ski day ends.
In Grandvalira, night skiing is possible in designated areas during certain times and conditions.
There are also options for nighttime snowshoeing, snowmobile excursions, and mushing experiences under the night sky, which allow you to explore the mountain from a completely different perspective.
These activities are complemented by culinary experiences at altitude and special offerings that can be organized during specific times of the season.
Availability of these activities depends on the season, weather conditions, and each operator’s schedule.
When the sun goes down, there’s still a lot of winter left to discover.
Spa & Wellness
Thermalism is part of the tourist identity of Andorra
But wellness in Andorra is not limited to Caldea. Various hotels and centers in the country offer water circuits, treatments, massages, and other wellness experiences.
It is a good option to complete a day in the mountains, a shopping day, or simply to dedicate a few hours to rest.
Andorran cuisine
Gastronomy is another way to know Andorra
Alongside this mountain cuisine, Andorra also boasts contemporary restaurants, international offerings, and an increasingly diverse culinary range.
The experience changes depending on the place: a barn, a restaurant in the mountains or a table in the center of Andorra la Vella offer three different ways to explore the destination.
Shopping

Heritage, villages and Romanesque
Andorra is also discovered through its towns, churches and historical buildings.
Heritage is not only found within museums. It is part of the landscape itself: churches alongside mountain roads, small historical centers, old farmhouses and villages that still retain part of their traditional structure.
In Canillo, for example, the cultural tour can combine Sant Joan de Caselles, the Sanctuary of Meritxell, the old town and other cultural spaces of the parish.
Culture, traditions and events
Live unique experiences
Major festivals, traditional celebrations, markets, festivals, and sports events are part of life in the different parishes.
Among the internationally recognized traditions are the Festes de l’Ossa in Encamp and Ordino, included since 2022 in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Celebrations such as the Falles and fallaires, recognized by UNESCO, as well as sports and cultural events, also stand out, causing the country’s agenda to change according to the time of year.
That’s why it’s worth checking what’s happening in Andorra during the specific dates of your trip. Sometimes, the event you weren’t looking for ends up being one of the experiences you remember most.
